| JUNIOR CADET LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE (JCLC); '09: Given the rummored closing of the "Military Academy of North Carolina," it is possible that the last military presence at Oak Ridge Military Academy was third cycle JCLC. Among the 150 or so cadets participating in this historic event were ten (10) of Trask's finest. Camp awards included: Chris Woodcock being named an Honor Graduate; Kason Murphy turning in the camp's fastest time on the Obstacle Course (for the second straight year); RaShawn Arrington being on the top Land Nav team; and, both Woodcock and Heather Muggleberg earning best physical fitness scores within Alpha Company. Except for green hair (Crystal!)and an rumored but outgrown heart murmur (Tylor), camp was a total success. |

| CAMP LEE FORD ('09): Overriding impression made by the rain--down pours kept outside activities to a minimum (occasional dip in the lake/fishing trip)for the first three days. Weather broke on Thursday for rappelling and canoeing. Overall, twenty-three cadets experienced cabin life and SFC Quiles' cooking. Rappelling/zip-line on Thursday was the training highlight. |
